MKVToolNix is a set of command line tools one may use to obtain information regarding, extract tracks or data, or create new Matroska files. Matroska is a new multimedia file format, like AVI, WMV, OGG, et al.
This build is an authorized MacOS X 10.3 "port". Although it uses the pretty MacOS X Installer, it's still command line! It will install the programs into /usr/local/bin; and the manual pages into /usr/local/man.

This is a MacOS X port of MPlayer. It differs from MPlayerOSX in that there is no friendly GUI wrapper, and this release is fresh; touting full 1.0pre3 support with Matroska, ffmpeg, MAD, and other codecs built in natively. It is compiled with AltiVec enhancements, utilizing the SDL graphical frameworks. Due to the lower-level IO required, it is only compatible with MacOS 10.3.x. Chances are that you'll be happy with this MPlayerOSX beta release.

Comme vous l'avez certainement compris, il est désormais possible de lire, créer, extraire ce nouveau format.
Bon, c'est encore un peu "barbare" et pas très OSX-like, mais c'est mieux que rien.

Je ne suis pas plus avance car
jai le dernier Mplayer, jai recup MPlayer-1-1.0pre3.pkg.
Jai le son en version R2D2 et pas d'image.

Je laisse tomber en attendant une version lise tout ou je me debrouille comme un manche ?

Un ami sur PC vous envoi un video de ces dernières mésaventures, il vous dit "avant de l’envoyer je vais le compresser un peu" et lorsque vous recevez le tout, vous vous trouvez devant un fichier avec une extension .mkv que votre mac ne sait pas lire. Zut c’est ballot. Les fichiers .mkv ou mastroska sont un nouveaux format de fichier multimédia comme AVI, MPG4 ou OGG, jusqu’ici sur mac, il était impossible de les lire. Fort heureusement pour nous un petit génie de l’informatique vient de mettre un place un freeware qui vient palier ce manque avec MKVToolNix.

Compatible Panther, pour extraire et créer (en ligne de commande)...
Il ne me reste plus qu'à trouver un fichier .mkv !

j'ai eu un .mkv sur mon ordi un jour et VLC me l'a lu sans problème, j'avais meme le choix des sous-titres. Un coup de bol ?
